In February the Sawgrass Women's Club welcomed Abigail Kuhn who is the volunteer coordinator for the Guana Tolomato Matanzas Research Reserve .  Ms. Kuhn spoke to the group about the history of the GMT Reserve and then spoke about the varieties of sea turtles who visit our shores to lay their eggs in nests on our beach, how to identify their tracks and protect their nests.   She stressed the value volunteers bring to the GMT Reserve and encouraged Sawgrass Women's Club members to visit the site's welcome center and extensive trails.
