November Membership Program

We are pleased to welcome Marcus Haile, CEO of the Literacy Alliance of Northeast Florida to our November program. In Florida, one in four adults cannot read and understand well enough to complete forms; thirty-five percent of adults are not able to do basic arithmetic. Mr. Haile will help us understand the mission of the Literacy Alliance, which is to increase literacy awareness and improve adult literacy in northeast Florida through tutoring and formal instruction. Since its founding, the Literacy Alliance has grown to serve over 500 adult students each year and offers expanded programming in adult education with small group classes, online lessons, digital literacy, and high school completion programs such as the General Education Diploma (GED).
