About the Event

Come and enjoy a guided tour of an exhibit at the MOCA displaying many of the beautiful works of art that were exhibited in 1924, marking the beginning of Modern Art in the South, and organized by the women of the Women’s Club of Jacksonville. These timeless pieces have been gathered and the show reassembled by our January 13th, 2025 speaker, Prof. P. Scott Brown. This exhibition displays works of art by influential women that shaped the Modern art world in America in the early twentieth century. The exhibit is historical as well as modern. It will be a very informative guided hour to understand the magnificent art and the early art world in Jacksonville. Cost is $15 (plus a nominal fee). Members only. Maximum group size is 50. Registration closes on October 9th. Questions? Contact Carol Dacey at carolhdacey@gmail.com
