About the Event
One thing we all love about Jacksonville is its amazing arts and culture scene. Our next speaker, P. Scott Brown Ph.D , professor of art history at UNF, will be explaining Jacksonville’s history through the arts, and enlighten us as to how our wonderful museums actually came to exist. From the Cummer , to the Museum of Contemporary Art, to the MOSH, even the Riverside Arts Market, how did our area become a center for the arts? Dr. Brown has extensive educations and background in medieval and early modern art. His recent publication examines the history of North Florida through monuments, artwork, and artists of this region. This event is for members only and is limited to 120 members. Reservations are required so that we can prepare seating. Registration closes on January 8th. Contact Carol Dacey with questions at carolhdacey@gmail.com
