February Membership Program

Have you ever seen the yellow taped off areas on the beach and wondered what they are for and who puts them up? Who monitors the nesting turtles in our area? What kind of turtles nest here? Or, have you seen the signs for GTM Research Reserve and wondered what kind of research is done there? How big is the Guana Reserve? How did it come about? Our February speaker, Abigail Kuhn, has been volunteering and working in our area since 2018. She is the volunteer coordinator for the Reserve. She will give us the background of the GTM Research Reserve, and an overview of all of the turtles in the area and their nesting seasons. She will also share the numerous volunteer opportunities that are available. This event is for members only and is limited to 120 members.  Reservations are required so that we can prepare seating.  Registration closes…
